What has been going on with Chris?

​

Chris served on the Great Valley Community Organization Board.  She lived in the Great Valley community for 18 years and have served on the Great Valley Community Organization Board since inception over 17 years ago. Her responsibilities were varied from fundraising, coaching, organizational development and community involvement.

​

Chris has been an active community volunteer for many years including serving on:

• PTO Board Member and Founder “Eager Reader Program” at Sunny Hills Elementary and developed Anti-Drug Awareness Program for the Issaquah School District in Issaquah, Washington

• PTO Board - Charlestown Elementary 2003-2005

• GVSB District Re-Zoning Committee   

• Coaching in various sports programs including soccer and basketball in Issaquah and Great Valley

• Great Valley Community Organization (GVCO), Board Member 2005 – 2018

• Steps For Hope, Board Member 2016 to 2019.  I served on the Steps For Hope Board with the specific responsibility to be the liaison between Great Valley Community Organization and Steps For Hope. I worked with people who were in crisis with drugs and alcohol.

 

Professional/Affiliations 

Chris retired from a 15-year career as a flight attendant with American Airlines in Chicago, Illinois.  She dedicated her time to supporting her children’s personal and academic endeavors and supporting non-profit groups in developing and promoting programs that benefit all families in the Great Valley School District.

 

Personal 

She and her husband, Calvin, have moved to Anna Maria Island located n Florida and are beginning their road to retirement. They have three daughters, Chelsea, Alexis and Lauren.

Their oldest daughter, Chelsea, married Trent Compton and a year later their grandchildren Natalie and Hannah were born.  . Their daughter works for Southwest Airlines and recently moved to Florida and now lives 30 minutes from them. Their middle daughter Lexie is located in Texas and is head of the English Department in Prosper, Texas. She has their first grand - dog named Baily. Their youngest daughter Lauren is a cancer radiation therapist in Pennsylvania and is planning her wedding for October in 2021.

Chris's hobbies include traveling the world, physical fitness and community service.  She devotes her time to my family and friends.
